Bar Method Owner Dana Abramovitz Shares Her Ideal TCV Staycation.
Enjoy Dining, Shopping, Fitness and Pampering at These Hot Spots.
We’re still in a summer state of mind here at Town & Country Village, so we’ve asked one of our retailers to tell us how they like to Staycation TCV Style. Dana Abramovitz, owner of The Bar Method, shared her tips for where to eat, shop and get a little extra TLC this summer. Read on to meet Dana, learn about The Bar Method and discover her favorite Town & Country Village spots.
Q: Tell us about The Bar Method. What is it and how did you get involved with it?
A: I discovered The Bar Method in 2012 and loved how the instructors focused on my form and pushing me, by name, to work harder. It was something I couldn’t do for myself. The Bar Method is a boutique fitness studio specializing in a challenging, no-impact, personalized total body workout. And the classes are fun!
We provide a clean and peaceful environment (some of my clients have referred to the studio as their sanctuary or happy place) that helps prioritize overall wellness and decrease stress and anxiety.
Many of my clients increase their number of weekly workouts during a staycation to come “bliss out” at the studio and create a feeling of energized calmness. They enjoy doing something good for themselves. If I were on vacation, I know that I would work out at my studio everyday just for the chance to stretch and get my body moving.
I love how The Bar Method changed my own body, but what I love most what is seeing that transformation in our students.
Q: Every staycation needs great dining. Where are some of your favorite places to eat at Town & Country Village?
A: Our studio is right above Zoe’s Kitchen so I can smell the aroma of their delicious foods–my favorite is when they’re making the grilled steak kabobs or baking their famous chocolate cake. It always makes me hungry and I want to stop to get lunch in between classes.
Brunch is my favorite meal so I’m a big fan of Snooze and may go there with my team so we can split a pancake or order breakfast tacos to go.
On a staycation, I would linger over a breakfast cocktail and maybe try something from the menu I haven’t had before. Everything is amazing so you can’t go wrong!
Q: Tell us where you like to shop during your Town & Country Village staycation.
A: As someone whose professional attire is workout clothes, Athleta is my go-to store. The team there is so helpful and knowledgeable at helping you find the right fit for your body and your workout. Their clothing is not limited to workout clothes though. I’ve shopped there for travel and more professional business attire. Plus stylish separates that I can wear on date night or out with my girlfriends. Their clothing is comfortable and something that I feel good in, so I can feel confident and be myself.
Q: Staycations are the perfect time for some TLC. Where do you like to go at Town & Country Village to relax?
A: Since it is a staycation, I would go to Beautique Day Spa for a mani-pedi. After the long year and navigating all of the challenges we’ve been through, it’s been so easy to forget these little luxuries. Since they are all so convenient and accessible, I think it’s a good idea to treat ourselves, staycation or not.
Many thanks to Dana Abramovitz, owner of The Bar Method, for taking us on her ideal Town & Country Village Staycation.
