July 4th – Fun Things To Do!
July 4th Holiday – Go For 6 Super Fun Things To Do!
July 4th is Houston’s favorite summer holiday, a vibrant celebration that ignites the spirit of patriotism and community throughout the city. As you gather with family and friends to commemorate this special day, TCV is ready to amplify the excitement with 6 super fun things to do.
Why do we celebrate the 4th of July?
Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th. This year, the holiday falls on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. We celebrate this national holiday every July 4th because it marks a momentous day in our country’s history. The Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress in 1776, declaring the 13 original colonies a sovereign nation free from Great Britain’s rule. July 4th is the birth of the United States and its enduring commitment to liberty, equality, and the pursuit of happiness. The holiday is an opportunity for the nation to come together, reflect on its history, and honor the sacrifices of those who came before.
