If you hope to be intentional with your celebrations this year, we have a great Easter bucket list of ideas and fun things to do. Let’s hop to it!
When Is Easter 2023? (April 9th, 2023)
You have probably noticed that Easter is a fun little holiday with a fluctuating date. For 2023, Easter will fall on Sunday, April 9th. But why does that date change from year to year?
Easter always takes place during a certain period of the calendar. The date will fall between March 22nd and April 25th. The date can change and has a wide window of possible Sundays to fall on because Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the Paschal Full Moon. If you are dusty on your astronomy, that is the name given to the first full moon that takes place after the vernal equinox, and the vernal equinox is just a fancy way of saying the first day of spring. So, the first Sunday after the first full moon after the first day of spring. Have you got it? That’s okay. Remember that April 9th is the day for all your Easter fun this year.
